LEARN to SAIL by MAIL

Courses

General Information

Learn the theory and general practical matters of sailing at your own pace at home. If you have not sailed before these courses will give the knowledge to start your on water lessons with confidence. If you have already started your practical sailing these courses will fill in the reasons why things happen and are done a particular way.

These courses are  to a standard for recreational keel boat sailing. Learn to Sail by Mail is a member of the worldwide recognised International Sailing Schools Association(ISSA).

The course material comes in parts, which are e-mailed in pdf format. If you prefer they can be mailed in paper booklet form in a convenient A5 format (A4 is available on request), which build into a comprehensive manual, which you retain as a reference book.

With each Part there is an Assessment paper which you complete and return for marking. All assessments are 'open book' and not a memory test. These are returned to you with an answer and prompt sheet with the next Part. The course is designed to use E-mail or Skype if you choose that method.

If you have access to Skype video calls, then this course becomes a ‘classroom’ in your own home. I can ‘show’ and ‘tell’ to help you through the course.

If you would like more detail and samples of the text and assessments, these can be supplied on request.
